Wednesday, Nov. 30 at 8pm, hear them play selections from their CD, “The Brite Side – The Music of Lee Harris” and the ‘new stuff – It’s a Big Band HOLIDAY PARTY! Tickets are $30 and $35 and are available through the Boca Black Box website at: Students are ONE DOLLAR!

The Horizons Jazz Orchestra (HJO), directed by Musical Director trombonist Michael Balogh (pictured directing), has 16 of South Florida’s best JAZZ musicians who play very challenging Jazz Orchestrations from modern-day composers (Sammy Nestico, Gordon Goodwin, Chuck Mangione).

(photo credit: Rob Concierge for ‘The Cut-off’) HJO is a swinging big band with a lush, melodic, and very approachable sound — a Jazz Orchestra that will introduce you to syncopation, melody, and musicianship: You are going to hear orchestrations. ‘Tis the season so bring your friends. Students are ONE DOLLAR the day of the show and based on availability. It’s a great way to share Big Band Jazz with friends and family.
